Who

Tag Master is built and maintained by hsynkvlc. It is a Chrome extension that decodes the tracking requests a page sends — 52 analytics and advertising platforms — and reports what does not add up: a push that does not match the hit it produced, a vendor still firing after consent was denied, the same conversion counted twice.

There is no company behind it and no team. One person writes the extension, the guides and this sentence.

How the guides here are written

Three rules, because a debugging guide that is wrong costs the reader an afternoon:

• From the implementation, not from other articles. When a guide says a platform reads a cookie called _uetdbg and silently drops a malformed value, that comes from the code that sets it and from watching the platform ignore it — not from a summary of somebody else's post.
• The screenshots are the real panel. Every picture is a capture of the extension running, produced by a script that re-renders them whenever the panel changes, so a picture here cannot drift away from the product. None of them is a mockup.
• Findings are checked against live sites before they ship. This rule exists because several early detections were wrong — a Google Ads endpoint pair, an enhanced-conversions envelope, a conversion counted twice across two paths of one host — and running against real traffic is what caught them. A wrong finding is worse than no finding.
